THE CHALLENGE

The goal of FASHION CLOUD is to patch up the broken value chain in fashion industry. Physical retailers are looking at a midterm model where stores and digital will be mixed to offer a multi-channel experience to customers. We will supply them with content (product images, marketing material, videos etc.) and enable them to enter the digital world.

THE SOLUTION

Look Local has designed a novel cloud-based digital content brokerage platform: FASHION CLOUD. Our service is supporting the digital transformation of European fashion manufacturers and retailers.

This Platform as a Service (PaaS) will enable them to compete efficiently in the digital marketplace with large e-retailers and integrated fashion companies. FASHION CLOUD consolidates and structures the content of fashion labels and provides it to retailers via an online B2B platform.

FASHION CLOUD offers numerous interfaces for digital communication channels of the fashion industry. The content can be integrated in apps, ERP systems, webpages, displays, newsletters, etc.

WHY FIWARE

FASHION CLOUD is built on several FIWARE modules.Some of them are running in our development system, some in the live system. The relevant modules for the FASHION CLOUD are:

• POI Data Provider (for showing locations on a map)
• BigData Analysis – Cosmos (for reporting and benchmarking)
• FIWARE Cloud Servers (for application hosting)
• Object Storage GE (for image hosting)

We are a proud part of the FIWARE ecosystem and are looking forward to contribute open data to the community. This could be a set of basic information from the fashion labels that other companies and startup are able to use for their business models.
