THE SOLUTION
TalkyCar connects your vehicle with your smartphone, making your driving safer and efficient. We use a small plug and play gadget, installed in diagnostic port, the same used in mechanic workshops, usually allocated under the steering wheel. It is very easy to install and it is compatible with most of the vehicles. TalkyCar tracks all your trips, with fuel consumption and routes, scoring your driving style according to fuel efficiency, to reduce your fuel consumption, providing advices, like over RPM alarms.
Also, with TalkyCar you can manage your fleet, view usage, improve the routes, and offer better service to customers. But the most important feature is that TalkyCar detects crashes, advising medical services and relatives with your position.
WHY FIWARE
We chose FIWARE to ensure the compatibility with Smart-City environments, directly installable on to a city back-end, and compatible with other related solutions developed using FIWARE.
TalkyCar Backend was developed with FIWARE technology inside. Our API connects the front end (web page and mobile apps). We have also developed Wirecloud Interface for FIWARE users with some widgets to visualize the data.
If your solution uses FIWARE, you are compatible with a Smart-City and IoT platform, that is a de facto standard for European Smart Cities, thanks to a context awareness and standard protocols, like NGSI9/10. This is a key point of FIWARE. FIWARE is an open and free technology, independent of any company, that you can deploy anywhere. Also, you have a test environment, FIWARE Lab, very useful for developers to speed up their projects.
