GUARD is a cybersecurity framework to Guarantee Reliability and trust for Digital service chains. In order to effectively share the mission and objectives of the project, which is supported by 14 consortium members, a video and brochure have been created to share with those interested in learning more about GUARD.
GUARD improves awareness in heterogenous digital service chains by embedding security capabilities in different layers of business processes, providing a framework for collection, analysis and detection. Most cybersecurity appliances have traditionally been designed to protect the physical infrastructure, and not the services implemented on top of it. Looking at the evermore agility and adaptability to the evolving context of both the infrastructure and service layer, GUARD chooses a service-centric framework, with security capabilities embedded into each digital component. This is orchestrated by a common security manager that logically centralizes the protection processes. This approach addresses conflicting needs of efficiency, effectiveness, and trustworthiness.
